More Seeds
Mark 4:7-8

Jesus finished His story.

⁷ Other seed fell among thorns. The thorns grew up and crowded out the plants. So the plants did not bear grain.

⁸ Still other seed fell on good soil. It grew up and produced a crop 30, 60, or even 100 times more than the farmer planted.

The thorns were stronger than the plants. They took over the ground. Other seeds fell on good soil (dirt). They grew lots more food than the farmer planted!

Think!

Be like the good soil. Let God’s Word (the Bible) into your mind and heart. Listen to God and do what He says. He will change you on the inside. You will grow to be like Jesus.

The Bible says, “Don’t just listen to the word…do what it says” (James 1:22). Jesus also said, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching” (John 14:23). Will you read God’s Word and obey it?

You can pray like this:

Dear God,

Help me obey Your Word.

Change me on the inside.

Make me more like Jesus.

In Jesus’ name.
