Get Up and Walk
Mark 2:10-12

Jesus was talking to the teachers.

¹⁰ I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” Then Jesus spoke to the man who could not walk. ¹¹ ”I tell you,” he said, “get up. Take your mat and go home.” ¹² The man got up and took his mat. Then he walked away while everyone watched. All the people were amazed. They praised God and said, “We have never seen anything like this!”

Jesus healed the man so he could walk! Only God could do that. The people were amazed. They praised God!

Think!

God is amazing! He can heal the sick. He can forgive sin. That should make you want to praise Him! The Bible says, “The Lord is great. He is really worthy of praise” (Psalm 96:4).

God deserves your praise. But it’s not enough just to say nice things about Him. The best way to praise God is to trust and obey Him. How will you show your praise to God today?

Dear God, You are great! Help me praise You by trusting and obeying You today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
