Great Fear
Mark 6:48-50

The desciples were in another storm!

⁴⁸ He [Jesus] saw the disciples pulling hard on the oars. The wind was blowing against them. Early in the morning, he went out to them. He walked on the lake. When he was about to pass by them, ⁴⁹ they saw him walking on the lake. They thought he was a ghost. They cried out. ⁵⁰ They all saw him and were terrified.

Think!

You might feel alone and afraid when you have a problem. Maybe it does not seem like God is with you. You may think no one can help.

God has a promise for you to remember. He has said, “I will never leave you” (Hebrews 13:5). Look at your hand. You can remember each word of that verse on your five fingers. God is always with you. You are never alone.

You can pray like this:

Dear God, sometimes I forget You are with me. Help me remember You are always there. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
