Jesus Prays
Mark 6:45-46

After Jesus fed the people, it was time for another boat ride.

⁴⁵ Right away Jesus made his disciples get into the boat. He had them go on ahead of him to Bethsaida. Then he sent the crowd away. ⁴⁶ After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.

Jesus is God the Son. He needed to talk to His Father. He went alone to pray. God the Father would give Him strength.

Think!

Jesus took time to pray. You should too! Prayer is talking to God. You can pray anytime. The Bible says, “Never stop praying” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). It is good to have a special time to talk to God.

God loves spending time with you. He wants to help you be more like Jesus. Will you spend time with Him every day? Think of a time of day when you can talk to God.

Dear God, please remind me to spend time with You each day. I want to be more like Jesus. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
