Rest Stop!
Mark 6:30-32

Jesus and His special friends, called apostles (disciples), had been very busy.

³⁰ The apostles gathered around Jesus. They told him all they had done and taught. ³¹ But many people were coming and going. So they did not even have a chance to eat. Then Jesus said to his apostles, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place. You need to get some rest.” ³² So they went away by themselves in a boat to a quiet place.

Are you a busy person? You have school and homework. Maybe you play sports or do jobs at home. Sometimes you get too busy. God made your body. He knows you need times of rest.

Make sure you get lots of sleep. Plan time when you can be quiet. Spend some quiet time with God. Read His Word and talk to Him. Plan time for rest and you will enjoy your busy times even more!

Dear God, I’m glad You know what I need. Help me take time to rest and be with You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
