The people said the girl had died.
37 He [Jesus] let only Peter, James, and John, the brother of James, follow him. 38 They came to the home of the synagogue ruler. There Jesus saw a lot of confusion. People were crying and sobbing loudly. 39 He went inside. Then he said to them, “Why all this confusion and sobbing? The child is not dead. She is only sleeping.”
Think!
Jesus knew the girl had died. He also knew He could bring her back to life!
You can believe God because He never lies (Titus 1:2). God also never changes (James 1:17). What He said in the Bible is still true today. You can believe His words. You can trust His promises.
This does not mean God will always do what you think He should. God knows what is best. Ask Him to do what is best in your problem. Then trust Him to do it!
You can pray like this:
Dear God, I’m glad You never lie and never change. Thank You for doing what is best in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
