A Storm
Mark 4:35-37

Jesus had been teaching all day. He was very tired!

³⁵ When evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” ³⁶ They left the crowd behind. And they took him along in a boat, just as he was. There were also other boats with him. ³⁷ A wild storm came up. Waves crashed over the boat. It was about to sink.

The disciples and Jesus were in a boat when a wild storm came up! It must have made the disciples afraid!

Think!

Everything was fine until the storm came up. Life is like that sometimes. Things are going well and then something bad happens. Maybe someone you love gets sick. Maybe your family has to move to a new place.

God knows when hard things come in your life. He knows everything! Jesus, God the Son, was in the boat with the disciples in the storm. He is with you, too. Trust Him to help you.

Dear God, I’m glad You know about hard things in my life. Thank You that You are always with me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
