Sun and Earth

If somebody asks you what crosses your mind when you think about the sun, what would you say?

Perhaps you would say something about sunburn which you could get and which hurts.
Or about ice which melts in the sun.
Or about the darkness coming up after sunset.
Or you would remember that it is super being on the beach, playing and lying in the sun.
Certainly you will have more ideas ....

But what is the sun really? Why is the sun important for us and why has God created the sun?
