How can the saguaro survive and grow in this place?
God has given the cactus a special system for storing water. Depending on its size, it can store up to 1000 litres of water.
With the help of their shallow roots, the cacti can absorb water from the soil during the short rainy seasons and store it in their trunks. This way, the cactus can survive for about a year.
