Threatened by enemies...

but not without defence

Ladybirds have multiple enemies, for example birds, lizards, shrews, frogs and spiders. How does the ladybird defend itself against them?  God gave this beetle a secret weapon which it carries along at all times. It is a yellowish, bitter, foul-smelling liquid. As soon as the ladybird feels threatened, this liquid is released. It is poisonous to some animals.
