02: A Traitor

Jesus and his disciples were having their special meal.
Read: Mark 14:18–20
And as they were reclining at table and eating, Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me, one who
is eating with me.” 19They began to be sorrowful and say to him one after another, “Is it I?” 20He said to them, “It is one of the Twelve, one who is dipping bread into the dish with me.”

Jesus knew one of his friends was only pretending to be a follower. How did He know that? He is God! He knows everything—even the things you think about deep down inside.
Don’t try to pretend with God! Wrong thoughts or feelings can lead you to do sinful things. Talk to God about those thoughts or feelings. He loves you. He will forgive you and help you think and do what is right.
