09: Great joy for the wise men
When they (the wise men from the East) saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Matthew 2:10+11
The men of Babylon rejoiced greatly when they saw the star. Imagine that it travelled across the sky in front of them and showed them the way to Bethlehem, stopping directly above a house. For in this house were Mary and Joseph with the baby Jesus.
Now the wise men had reached their destination. They went into the house. They saw the baby Jesus with their own eyes. The king whom God had sent. They knelt down in amazement and worshipped Jesus. They wanted to belong to him, they wanted him to be their king and reign in their lives. Is Jesus your king too? Can he lead you through life?
