10: Great joy for Simeon

Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon; ... moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus, ... Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying: “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation,..." Luke 2:25-30

Simeon had to wait 40 years for his greatest wish to be fulfilled. Perhaps even longer. But he never gave up hope.
One day he went to the temple. Just then, Mary and Joseph arrived with the baby Jesus. Simeon saw Jesus. Now his greatest wish was fulfilled. With great joy, he took the baby Jesus in his arms and prayed.
