17: Joy through the word of God

I rejoice in your word like one who finds great spoil. Psalm 119:162

I wish I could read the whole Bible every day, all 1189 chapters. Unfortunately, I can't. But I need the Bible to get me through the day and keep me joyful.
When I get up in the morning, I rejoice at the morning star and the sunrise. I think about Genesis 1:1.
At breakfast, I think of Psalm 118:24: "The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad."
If something goes wrong, Genesis 50:20 helps me: "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good..."
Luke 12:24 makes my worries smaller: "Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!"
When the news of the day worries me, I think of Jesus' promise in Revelation 22:20: “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
I could give many more examples of how much I need the Bible every day. I'm sure you do too.
