Here you can see a drawing of people who lived 2,000 years ago. At that time there were no cameras, so we don’t know exactly what they looked like.

This Man was often surrounded by people. What did they want from Him? Who was this Man? How did He live and what did He say?
Let’s find out! You can get to know about Him, because the Bible tells us about His life. Do you know whom it is about?

Correct: Jesus.
Can you see how many people came to hear what He had to say?

“I am the Bread of Life,” said Jesus. “He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst” (John 6:35).
The people who listened to Him were amazed.

Jesus told them, “I came from Heaven to Earth to bring life to the world.” (see John 6:51).

But they didn’t understand and more than that they didn’t want to believe it!

But everything Jesus says is true. He is God the Son. He does things which only God can do.

Shortly before this He had fed 5,000 men with only five loaves of bread and two fishes!

Would you like to meet Jesus too? Good, because this is why He came to Earth. He came to show us what God is like and how much He loves people - including you!

“I am the bread which came down from Heaven,” said Jesus (John 6:41).
“But wait,” said the people, “this is Jesus, Joseph’s son. We know His father and His mother. How can He say, ‘I came down from Heaven’?” (see John 6:42.)

When Jesus spoke about the bread which came down from Heaven, He did not mean bread that we can eat. He meant that He Himself is the answer to your deepest needs.

Whoever wants to know God, must come to Jesus and believe in Him.

And these people have experienced it!
That is why so many came to Jesus.
